Outstanding fibre quality begins on the field. In order to guarantee our high-quality standard, we have very specific requirements to the farming practices of our hemp. That is why we make contracts with our farmers . On the one hand guaranteeing them an appropriate pay for their produce on the other hand binding them to follow our guidelines whilst allowing us to trace every lot of textile fibre back to its origin farm.

CERTIFICATION
Greenwashing is not an uncommon problem within the fashion industry and for you as a consumer it can be overwhelming differentiating between a product being truly „organic“ or just very convincing marketing strategies using the right buzzwords.
So, how can you ensure that the products you’re purchasing are truly organic and made in a humane and responsible manner?
Well, the simplest way is to look for the GOTS label which stands for the Global Organic Textile Standard. The standard guarantees that a product was made in a truly sustainable and fair way, through every stage of the production. Therefore it was a clear choice for us to have our organic hemp fibres certif ied by ths standard. After going through the extensive process of certif ication we now trust this standard even more, and so can you as a consumer.
FeldeHemp is also available to the industry as non-organic or as we say „conventional“ fibre because we also encourage farmers that are not „organic“ to grow hemp due to the the many advantages for the soil and the environment.
Besides our contracts with the farmers prohibit the use of pesticides and the social policy the farmers have to adhere to is the same as for our organic farmers, making our conventional f ibre a true conscious and less costly choice.
